With effect from 1 July 2016 Companies House is replacing the Annual return form AR01 with a new annual consent form CS01.  The annual filing fee is likely to remain unchanged at £13, but this is still to be confirmed.  For more information click here.  Further information can be found by clicking here.

The bad news is that a company now has only 14 days from the date of the return to file the CS01 (the AR01 had to be filed within 28 days of its due date).


The annual return filing  fee will be reduced from £14 to £13 for all electronic annual returns received on or after 1st October 2012.

Companies House has announced that the fee for submission of an annual return is to reduce from 6 April 2011.

However, there are more significant increases, particularly in respect of incorporation fees.


The Companies Act 2006 is now fully in force. Changes affect every company operating in the United Kingdom. Click on title for full details of changes implemented.

For accounting periods commencing on or after 6 April 2008 the time limit for filing at Companies House is reduced from 10 months to 9 months.


Under new regulations in force from 1 January 2007, the statutory requirement for companies to state certain particulars on their stationery and other documents is extended to websites and electronic communications.
